Enjoy limitless browsing on etisalat

Basic requirements

• modem or 3g enabled phone(preferably nokia)
• registered etisalat sim card(easy-cliq or starter)

Here are the few steps involved

sim card setting

go on a blackberry subscription that suit you by dialing: 

*499*2*2# *499*3*2# (100 bucks)or 

*499*2*1# (400 bucks) 0r 

*499*3*1# (500 bucks). etc.

conditions to be noted;

if you are on 100-bucks don't load up to 100-bucks.

if you are on 400-bucks don't load up to 400-bucks.
the basic idea is that you shouldn't recharge up to amount you used on subscription.
eg.little mathematics if x = subscription_amount; your rechargeable_amount < x.

modem setting

1. open your modem interface
2. click on tools and select options
3. general > tick RAS(modem)
4. select profile management
5. click on new
6. profile name: name it anything eg. 'fattylee etisalat'.
7. tick static, then input 'blackberry.net'.
8. access number '*99#'. just save the setting and click on ok.
9. from your connection interface select the newly created  profile and connect.

browser settings 

• i will be using mozilla firefox 12 for this tutorial

1. open your browser
2. select firefox at the top left corner of your browser
3. click on options > options
4. advanced > network > settings
5. manual proxy configuration
6. http proxy: input '10.71.170.5' and port '8080'
7. tick 'use this proxy server for all protocol'. ok..ok...
